CamCloud
Terms

Terms of service.

The plain-English agreement between us when you sign up for hosting or maintenance with Cam Cloud.

Last updated: April 2026

Who you’re contracting with

Cam Cloud is a trading name of Red Web Cambridge Limited, a company registered in England & Wales (company number 16585000), registered office 33 Hawkey Road, Trumpington, Cambridge, CB2 9ET. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “Cam Cloud” mean Red Web Cambridge Limited trading as Cam Cloud.

The service

We provide managed hosting (“Hosting Packages”) and ongoing website maintenance (“Care Plans”) as described on camcloud.co.uk. The scope of what’s included is set out in your chosen plan and any additional quote we send you.

Fees and payment

  • Hosting and maintenance fees are billed in advance (annually for hosting, monthly or annually for care plans, as you choose).
  • Invoices are due on receipt unless otherwise agreed in writing. Payment is taken via Stripe by card or direct debit.
  • Prices are in GBP and exclusive of VAT where applicable.
  • We may adjust our prices at renewal. We’ll always give at least 30 days’ notice before a change takes effect.
  • Non-payment: if an invoice is more than 14 days overdue we may suspend the service. After 60 days we may terminate and delete backups. We’ll always try to reach you before this happens.

What we promise (service levels)

  • Uptime target: 99.9% measured monthly, excluding scheduled maintenance and third-party outages outside our control.
  • Support response: we aim to respond to support enquiries within 30 minutes during office hours (Mon-Fri, 9am-5:30pm UK time). Out-of-hours cover is included only on Care+ plans.
  • Backups: daily backups are retained for 30 days. We test restore integrity monthly.

These targets are goals, not guarantees of uninterrupted service. If we miss them materially we’ll discuss a reasonable remedy with you.

What we ask of you

  • Don’t use the service for anything illegal, abusive, or that infringes third-party rights (spam, phishing, malware, copyright-infringing content, etc.).
  • Keep your account details and credentials secure.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe your site has been compromised.

Your content

You own your website, your content, and your data. Granting us access to it (to host, back up, or maintain it) does not transfer any ownership to us. We only use your content to deliver the service.

Cancellation

  • You can cancel at any time. Annual plans are not refunded pro-rata after 30 days; monthly plans run to the end of the current month.
  • On cancellation we’ll provide an export of your site files and database within 14 days at no extra cost.
  • We retain backups for 30 days after cancellation, then delete them.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot be limited by English law. Subject to that, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with the services is limited to the fees you’ve paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

We’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of business opportunity, or loss of data (beyond our commitment to keep backups as described above).

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by email to the address on your account at least 30 days before they take effect.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
